Position Overview: The Nutrition Manager is responsible for the day-to day operations of the nutrition team to provide high-quality, client-centered, and impactful Medical Nutrition Therapy to clients of Moveable Feast. The position maintains strong relationships with the Food Services staff to develop medically tailored menus. The Manager is responsible for maintaining and reporting accurate data about services and impacts. The Nutrition Manager also supervises the registered dietitians and interns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Organizes duties and schedules for the Nutrition Team to complete client assessments and ongoing provision of Medical Nutrition Therapy.
Conducts nutrition assessments, counseling, and education in-person (during home visits or clinic appointments) or via telephone/telehealth. Evaluates, monitors, and documents the nutritional status of clients receiving services.
Supervises nutrition staff by clearly outlining job roles and responsibilities, providing ongoing feedback, setting and reviewing goals and conducting regular check-ins and annual performance reviews.
Collaborates with the Executive Chef and Director of Food Services to ensure meals and food items meet nutrition standards, are high quality and meet the needs of the clients.S
Serves as a liaison between Moveable Feast and external partners including the management of volunteers who directly support Nutrition Services.
Manages affiliation agreements, schedules dietetic interns, and supervises learning activities.
Represents Director of Programs at meetings and community events, as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Baccalaureate degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or comparable major, required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) by the Maryland State Board of Dietetic Practice.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in nutritional counseling, education, and dietary planning
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in staff supervision and management.
Possess valid Maryland Driver’s license and availability of a personal vehicle.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $82,500.00 - $85,000.00 per year
